Have any of you guys had any issues with your windshields? I was washing my car a few days ago, and there was this bird poop that wouldn't come off. So I rubbed it really hard with my cleaning cloth and think I may have scratched my windshield And I think my wipers also scratched my windshield before this incident...do you think Nissan will give me a new windshield if I show them the scratches my wapers made on the windshield?

Oh and I'll probably keep my Versa for quite some time I think. I'll def be getting another car when I have the funds, but this car is a great commuter car.

Almost owned it for 5 years now ... hoping it makes it to 10 trouble free Andrew, you summed it up right. It is very much so a "throw away society". It's amazing how often people trade their vehicles in. I guess I just like the idea of buying something, and using it until it dies or isn't worth replacing.

That's how my parents are too. My dad always had hand me down cars until he bought his first new car (a minivan) in 1997 ... and he just sold that last year (still running fine). It was really rusted and had some issues, but still took him to/from work, and always started. He drove that van from 97-2012, crazy eh!!! And his daily driver, an 02 Pontiac Sunfire that he bought brand new in 2002, has almost 300,000 kms on it, original clutch and it STILL goes. Everyday that car starts. It sometimes sits outside for months while he works away in the US and it always starts up when he needs it again. Now they have a new minivan that he bought brand new in 2011. But he keeps driving the Sunfire everyday to keep the mileage off the van, and to save money on fuel. Sure someday when the Sunfire dies, he will upgrade to something a bit nicer & newer. But for now ... it's a paid off car that gets him everywhere he needs to go! That's what I plan to do with the Versa. Keep driving it until it dies. I take good care of it, so it should last a while.

I bought the OEM engine air filter. it was 21.00 dollaras and some change after tax this is the first time that I bought one. I usually get STP or something from my local auto parts store. problem with the bank they took a car payment last night. I checked online my online statement it shows my payment for last month, then it shows where I made the payoff payment and it shows a 0.00 zero balance on my account, but they still took a payment from my checking account last night. I called chase bank and they said I was suppost to cancel my automatic payment option or they will continue to withdraw the payment every month even if the account has zero balance. The rep said I canceled that for you. it will take 5 to 6 business day to get a check in the mail. it sounds like that's a lot of crap now they owe me money

Ya gotta check those automatic withdrawals very very carefully. Once a company has your consent to withdraw money, they can do just that. Tons of issues every single day regarding those same issues (companies withdrawing money when they are not supposed to) ... it's frustrating for sure. My contract shows the last payment is coming up soon ... yahoo!!

Why not a K&N? Only $50 HEHE I know, with the K&N i get a little bit more pwer but it will affect MPG, more air means more fuel, more fuel means more power. I had K&N on my last car I do appreciate your input

My contract shows the last payment is coming up soon ... yahoo!! I agree now I know, I'm very familiar with extra charges on my account, but they usually credit my account and the next month is lower or they put the money back to the checking account. once the payment clears up I will call chase bank tomorrow and tell them I don't want check, I want charge back. what are the chances of the check getting lost? or me loosing the check? then Chase bank can say sorry sir, we sent you the check, you lost it or anything could happen. I looked at the automatic payment option and it doesn't say anything about the costumer has to cancel the option after the account is paid off I read chase banks rules and regulations and they actually have a fee to stop a payment, and it doen't say anything about the customer has to stop the payments. there's a fee to stop A payment, not a cancel your automatic payment. and if I want to stop a payment I have to have it in writting 14 days before is due. I paid off the loan 5 days before my next payment. there are a lot of regulations and government regulations out there so banks have to make money anyway they can and everything has to be in writting. I'm not mad or anything, they help me get the loan and I help them paying back with interest. that's business anyway enought beating the deadhorse ;D it is good to hear you're getting yours paid off. FREEDOM!!!!!!!
