Is anyone interested in a big soldering/electrical tutorial thread and or video? I'm thinking about doing an overview style lesson on the basics of automotive wiring and how to fix electrical problems/mod the electrical system.

I already know most of that but it would be good to have on site.

I have no electrical system experience, maybe a lil working with computer power supplies, but nothing with cars.
For instance, if I wanted to add LEDs to the fog light area, it says I need a 12v power sources, do I just splice it to any power source?

If you buy a kit it would probably come with wiring to attach to the positive terminal on the battery. Not that clean of an install though, and if I add on more electrical parts, gonna run outta room. I've been researching Posi-Connectors, they have a splice connector too.

LEDs take very little current, so blowing a fuse isnt really a worry, so that leaves only verifying that the 12v power source is switchable (whether power or ground wire, just some way to close the circuit and not have the LEDs running 24/7). another place to tap into is the parking lights, since then you dont need to worry about extra switches either. the wiring diagrams in the FSM work wonders in figuring out how the car circuitry works, and the locations/colors of the dam finicky wires haha
