No he does not, the HR16 is what's in the versa sedans 1.6L.
The MR16DDt is what's in the Juke. Which can sometimes come in turbocharged versions and has base HP of 188 which would be pretty nice in a Versa

Not trying to be technical lol but don't you mean the HR16DDT Matt? The Juke/Tiida turbo 1.6l is an MR platform. HR platform doesn't carry a turbo.

yes, I want the juke engine. With minor bolt on mods (FMIC, ECU Tune, etc) they're talking close to 200 whp. That'd be ideal for me. Anything too much higher than that and the car would start to be a pain to drive daily. The versas transmission will bolt right up to the juke's block, and the engine mounts are the same as well. The differences are really in the intake, exhaust, and fuel systems, which are easy enough to modify to work. The thing I'm not sure of at this point is the ecu and wire harness. Not sure if the Juke has any extra sensors that need to be plugged in for the engine to run that we don't have.

While I love power, I think putting too much power can be just as bad as having not enough. Like yeah, having a 300 hp versa would be crazy, but then you're dealing with torq steer and wheel spin all the time plus versa transmission just aren't made to handle big power. It's like on my old rx7, if you wanna go for around twice the stock hp (this was a first gen) you needed to upgrade the tranny. As it is, I'm already gonna have to switch to a cvt or 6 spd. Idk, I could be totally off here, but I just don't want huge power, at least not right now. 200 hp is close to what Bob was aiming for with the supercharger, and I think it's a good number for our cars. Way faster than stock but still safe and reliable.

Then maybe down the road I can do a fully built mr16 with a big turbo and we can thrash the hell out of it. Not right now though

Way faster than stock but still safe and reliable. 200-250 hp is good enough, the QR25DE runs 170hp, pulls pretty good for the Altima and Rogue (heavier cars). With the same amount of power, the P/W ratio is greater in the versa, which might make it faster. so if you put 170 hp into a versa, you'd get 124hp/ton, while stock MR18DE rocks 89hp/ton. 200hp gives you 149hp/ton. A stock 2.5s Altima runs 106hp/ton, because it's a heavier car. 300hp would be awesome, but you'd need lots of money, modification, and time to get right. In the case of the versa, I'd just get a faster car to begin with.

Agreed. If I can do a simple swap with bolt ons and get in the 200 range, I'd be happy. Much more than that I think will cost more than its worth.

Do you think those Renault Clio engines will fit?

the newer cliosport uses a version of the mr16ddt. Good luck importing one with all the parts to make it work in our cars though, haha. engine, transmision, ecu... the list goes on

Was thinking the Clio Sport or RS engine will fit, but those are F4R engines, not M4R which are in relation to the MR20. M4R's are basically Renault's MR20DE......same 140hp.
