For anyone who might want to install a hitch in the future. As long as your exhaust system is stock, it's an easy install. Simply bolt it on. However with the HK exhaust tip I added on, the piece that adds the exhaust tip to the original exhaust tip would touch the hitch and make a loud noise. Whenever I would go over a bump it would hit. So my dad modified the hitch for me by cutting it up and welding on an extension. We also drilled a bigger hole in the frame as it wasn't big enough for the screws to go thru. Hoping to have it installed for good this weekend and then will snap some pics. I ordered the bike rack from amazon so I need to go pick it up next week in the US.

Nice one, I thought about doing that for mine until I decided I really didn't need rear seats and turned her into a wagon of types instead Now the bike just fits in the back like it did my old station wagon I know modifying the hitch in Australia would be illegal, you guys have such lax laws compared to us

They don't generally care if your not towing something though. Honestly not sure if they would notice that it has been modified though, there are plenty that come from the factory that look similar to clear the factory exhaust. Only thing that may tip them off is typically the hitches that come with that piece to clear the exhaust from the factory they just use one piece of metal bent into a "U" shape and then welded in, whereas this appears to be 3 pieces of steel welded together. It will work fine for carrying a bike though. Guess its good you don't have to lift the bike up on the roof anymore eh? Thinking of selling the roof mount bike rack? I tend to carry my bike inside the car... at this point my bike is worth more money than my car
