Anyone here changed the colour of their dash lights at all?
Bought some LED gauges (Air/Fuel and Boost) for the impending Supercharger and realised they are very much red in colour, opposed to the rather orange of the standard dash so was thinking of making the whole lot red to match.
Anyone had a crack at this yet?

yeah its most certainly possible! however, its more so limited to only the shift indicator light and the HVAC control knobs. Ive heard it is possible to do the lights in the door switches and the backlighting of the dials on the dash, however those are SMDs; so unless you have particular expertise in soldering very small objects, i wouldnt recommend it haha heres a how to on the shift indicator i did, sorry it doesnt include the HVAC controls. led installthe controls themselves are actually pretty easy if you have the FSM, theres just 2 screws underneath that hold in the covering plate, and then all you gotta do after that is pop off the HVAC knobs and unclip the black faceplate to find 2 bulbs inside. here's what's underneath

I can tell you for one that the gauge cluster is not easy to take apart. There are about 20 clips on the backside that need to come apart before you can separate the 2 halves, so if you've got 4 hands, you're probably alright. If you've only got 2... The door switches will most likely be much easier.

I've had a bit of experience with technical pull-apart and soldering (ex-Air Force) so I'm keen to have a go, but many thanks for the heads up
