To day I had an electrical problem on my 2012 Nissan Almera , I inserted the ignition key in as normal and turned it to the '' on '' position , as normal the dash board warning lights all came on , then I turned the ignition one more time to start the engine, and nothing , only a faint clicking sound coming from behind the dash board , I tried a few times to start the engine , but nothing . I did notice that when I turned the ignition key to the engine start position , this warning sign came on and started flashing ... So I got out the Almeras owners manual and checked what the flashing warning sign was , the users manual said that if that warning ever came on , then it could mean that one of the doors was not shut correctly , or the bonnett ( hood ) or boot ( trunk ) may not be closed correctly . I checked and double checked every thing and found no problems . I then telephoned the Nissan dealer and described the problem , the technician told me to check all the 10 Amp fuses that were under the steering wheel compartment , shown here ... I did find one 10 Amp fuse that had blown , when I reported back to the Nissan technician that I had found a blown fuse, he commented that he had received several calls about the same fuse blowing . I managed to buy a new 10 Amp fuse , and fitted it , thankfully every thing is now back to normal , just why the Nissan technician said he had received several calls relating to this 10 Amp fuse , I don't know . Moral of the story Keep some spare fuses in the car . .

Good write-up! I always preferred "boot" over "trunk"
