You and me both. Still debating with myself if I want to get the Pioneer AppRadio. It went down from like $300 dollars to $180 on Crutchfield. Buying from them is also a plus because they include everything needed to install it specifically to your car.

I use a kenwood ddx514, works most excellent! doesn't have many additional features without add-ons, but all I need is the ipod input, rca preamp outputs, and the touch screen navigation haha. audio quality is SOOO MUCH better! bought it used and then installed with a car harness to give a clean installation customized the boot up screen too ;D

I have stock right now. Debating on getting something else. No rush though. I'm good with what it does. It has the aux so I can use my BlackBerry for additional music.

I signed up for email alerts, should I just preorder it? email alerts are probably fine, id contact their customer service and see when itll next be in stock (and also when the sale ends), cause if you preorder it you'll get at the price of the current sale. The best part about upgrading the HU is the massive increase in music quality and clarity of the different frequencies. much better sound processing imo, its surprisingly quite noticeable even when I had the stock oem speakers made of paper lol

Can you tell me more about the AppRadio? I don't fully understand how it works, can you only use it while an iPhone is connected to it?

Makes sense though. I've notice that with my BlackBerry it tends to be quieter than if I had a cd in. I didn't have that issue with my sentra. But that's probably because the speakers were upgraded from the previous owner. Maybe I'll upgrade next year with my tax return.

I have an ida-x303. Being a tekky guy, I really like that it is a digital only input system. I also like that it has tons of controls, for sub base settings, along with high pass filters, etc. I love all the controls. The nice part about these Alpines, I like that it has all the attachments. Unfortunately the bluetooth attachment is really expensive. I do however, have the KTP-445 mini amp, behind the deck, which is a extra 4x50 power boost along with the deck. I bought it with both used from my cousin, when he upgraded to the x305. It has been a great deck so far, and I haven't really found one that I find works as smoothly as this one. I would really like a double din, but I haven't found one that works as nicely as I would like. I do REALLY want to fabricate up a dash mount that would allow me to wire up an iPad mini, or nexus 7, etc. It is the only touch screen sys tem that I have found to work to my standards. Anyways, I have my iPod, wired up into the covered cubby above. Really loving the set up. Attachments:

For ipad and Tablet ideas, check out SoundMan Car Audio, you can send in your dash and they modify it to fit ipads. I've been watching their youtube channel for a while now, pretty funny. www.youtube.com/user/soundmancaraudio
