so... yesterday I had to get on the brakes REALLY hard to avoid running into the dumba$$ that decided to stop in to middle of the road for no apparent reason and my front brakes made one heck of a grinding sound, now I know the pads are getting very low and my rotors have been warped for some time now but this is the first bad noise I have heard. They do not make noise during normal braking but it looks like I'm going to be in the market for some new one soon. so here's my question where can I get a good set of vented drilled rotors and whats the price range (never got a set so I don't know whats good) and what performance pads would y'all recommend I want good stopping performance but I want a somewhat long life as well. I'm not looking to go crazy on the price in fact the less the better I just want a little better the OEM.

I have the hawk pads on my car. They're very quiet and do a pretty good job of stopping the car. I don't have any experience with the rotors however.

Does ABS make noise while active? Under hard braking or even medium braking, I get a little "rubbing" or "squeaking" noise, definitely not metal on metal though. Used to go away after the brakes heat up, but lately it's on all the time. No idea, brakes don't feel worn or vague, pedal still feels the same.

abs will make a buzzing sound when its active and a pulsing feeling in the pedal I dont have it but have driven cars with it before.

well they started making more noise so they are coming off tomorrow didn't end up going with the ones that I posted decided to save alittle money and just went to advanced auto. I got a set of Weaver vented rotors and went with the best pads they sell the Wagner ThermoQuiet ceramic pads and with the extra money I was able to pick up a set of wipers I will be installing everything tomorrow and will post some before and after pics.

I've felt my ABS while driving in snowy/icy conditions. I can feel it (feels like the car locks up/pulses) but I've never noticed a sound.

I didn't have one problem at all all 4 bolts came out with out an issue and as far as the rotors 2 hits in the center with my brass hammer and they popped right off on to the few pics I took torn apart and together again they seem to work good no more shaking no noises at all and they seem to stop better but we will see over time how they do

i dont really feel the abs in our cars, which is good. I don't really feel the traction control either. In my mom's Camry (2010), the traction control steps in so much it makes me die a little inside
